Magnetic Separation Equipment, Tyre Wire Separation, Non Ferrous Separator

We have designed a range of separation and handling equipment for the efficient and reliable removal of tyre wire. This takes into account two important principles:
Clean Steel Wire: The most efficient methods of clean steel wire removal are employed so that minimal rubber and wire with rubber attachments are separated into this fraction
Clean Wire-Free Rubber: We have developed a range of separators specifically for this purpose with very high magnetic forces so that a virtually wire free product is achieved.

Typical Separation Equipment for this Application

Overband Magnets
This separator lifts the wire away from the shredded tyres and discharges it away from the rubber. We fit guards as standard to our equipment for the safety of plant operators and also to prevent the ingress of material into the separator which would otherwise cause wear and damage

Magnetic Head Pulleys
This separator replaces the standard head pulley of a conveyor and typically incorporates a high intensity permanent magnet system. The magnetic field holds the wire and wire with rubber attachments to the moving belt surface allowing the cleaned rubber to fall away in its normal trajectory. The wire then carries back under the conveyor where it discharges vertically.

Magnetic Drums
This type of separator is typically fed from a vibratory feeder or chute. The mixed material is carried over the surface of the drum where the non-magnetic (rubber) fraction drops away vertically by gravity. The magnetic (steel) fraction is held to the surface of the drum and carried beyond the point of rubber discharge to a separate discharge point where the magnetic field terminates allowing this fraction to drop away

Minimise Maintenance
All magnet systems are from non-deteriorating permanent magnets and the machines are designed to give a prolonged working life in the most difficult conditions. Any wear parts are easily accessible and a number of unique features help to prevent any small/thin items from being trapped in the separators.
